I'm Back!

It's been a tough February, March, and April. Once of us was always sick these last 3 months. It's May now and while I have had a touch of the stomach virus and eye infection, I have hope that this month will be great. I want to go back to being healthy.

Now, let me update you. We went to Hawaii at the end of March to celebrate Mommy's 30th birthday (which was March 11th). We were all really sick the week before. Mommy and Daddy thought maybe that's a sign that we shouldn't go, but they thought Hawaii might be good for us, a chance to get healthy. Well...Mommy and Daddy should have listened to the signs. It rained the whole time we were in Hawaii. We may have caught one or two days of some sun but it was not the vacation we were picturing. Uncle Richard let us use his new condo which was great. It's where I really learned to crawl. There was so much open space. We tried to hang out at the pool when we could. I had fun being in the water and watching all of the other kids. We also got to see Auntie Lessa, Hawi and the rest of the Tuppeins. They are so awesome, so sweet and fun. We wish they lived closer to us and miss them already. Unfortunately, I did get sick at the end of our trip, but overall we had a good trip.

When we got back, Wee Granny and Papi came to visit. They spent several days with me, taking me for walks, following me around the house. I impressed them with my ability to shake my head no and my crawling. Hopefully, next time they see me I'll be cruising on my two feet. Then watch out for me...I'll be everywhere.

After they left, I went back to daycare and I got sick again. It was pretty bad this time. My fever went up to 102-103. I also had an ear infection and a virus which gave me blisters in the back of my mouth. I was miserable. Mom and Dad needed help, so Wee Granny came to the rescue! She took care of me for a week and I got all better. I'll miss taking stroller rides with her and listening to her sing.

It's been a rough few months, but overall I'm still a happy healthy baby. Nine months old and I'm 22 lbs and 12 ounces. I crawl around the house and get in to everything. I love putting my hands under running water, eating cheerios, opening and closing cabinets and doors, standing in my crib, talking to myself in the mirror, and making sure mommy and daddy focus all their attention on me. Watch out though, I will be walking very soon!
