New teeth are coming!

Sorry, no new pictures posted yet. We used up the camera batteries at the wedding two weeks ago. Mommy and Daddy couldn't find the battery charger until today, so they haven't taken any new pictures yet. They will soon.

I'm starting to stand more on my own. I've very cute when I do it. I stand and then I look at mommy or daddy with a smile waiting for their praise. Then I fall down. I'm getting much better at walking too. I can push my fire truck rider everywhere. I'm also climbing a lot. When we're at restaurants, I'll go from sitting on daddy's lap to on top of the table. At daycare, my friend Liam and I push the truck rider to the table, climb on top of the rider and then on to the table. Daycare says they've never seen such an active Infant class. They have to buy more climbing toys for us.

After months of people thinking it's happening, I finally am growing 2 new teeth. I've had 8 teeth for awhile now. I would drool and be grumpy a lot and people would think I'm teething, but we saw nothing. Daddy felt my gums today and felt one tooth poking out from the bottom and one tooth on the top. I'm really good with my solids. My favorite foods are peas, corn, and cheese.

Our trip to the Bay Area

We went to the San Francisco Bay Area this past weekend. Mommy's cousin Beth got married to Casey. They've been together for 6+ years now, so he's already been part of the family. The wedding was at Uncle Bob and Auntie Marion's cabin at the American River. As we said on the photos pages, the wedding was beautiful, the day/weather was gorgeous. We all wanted to jump in the river. I was a very good boy that day. I was all smiles, slept the entire car rides, talked to everyone and let everyone hold me. I got a lot of comments about how cute I am. I have to admit, I was adorable.

The next day we went to Dim Sum with Grandpa Tom to celebrate his birthday and Father's Day. Grandpa is a big Giants fan, so I had to wear my Giants outfit. I was fussy at the table, so Grandpa took me walking around the restaurant and outside so everyone else could eat. We had fun.

I wouldn't be nicknamed "the plague" without getting sick at my usual 2-3 week schedule. While I did have a runny nose the day we left for San Francisco (thursday), it just kinda got worse while I was there. Sunday night/monday morning, I was very grumpy and I threw up on daddy. Then an hour or two later I woke up again, this time I peed right in to mommy's face. Later on in the morning and afternoon I threw up again. I wasn't feeling very good. We flew back to Phoenix on monday night. Almost toward the end of the flight, I was having a good time with daddy and then next thing I know, I puke again on daddy. Daddy was covered with formula. It smelled awesome! Poor daddy, had to take his shirt off in front of everyone on the plane and wear a Southwest blanket toga style for the rest of the flight and then off the plane to Baggage area. Daddy learned a lesson, always bring a spare shirt now.

Today I went back to daycare. I was grumpy but I didn't throw up at all today. When I got home, I played with mommy and daddy and I'm in a much better mood now. I hope my little sickness has passed.

I'm 11 months now and about 24 pounds. This past weekend, I have been standing on my own for a few seconds. Getting closer to being able to walk independently. Just a few more weeks and then I'll be the big 1!!!!

Mommy couldn't help it

Mommy just couldn't help it. She went in to check on me and was going to cover me up, but she thought I just looked so darn cute like this. She had to show me to everyone. I had slept through most of the night (first time in months) and I'm sleeping now. Hope I'm not getting sick again...

I'm moving...

Fooled you, bet you thought I'm walking....well...not quite. I'm crusing around furniture and when I'm holding on to something or someone, but not quite walking on my own yet. My favorite thing to walk with is the garbage can. Mommy gets grossed out but I think it's awesome.

Mommy and Daddy are sure hoping I do walk soon though. Everytime we're out, I want to get down and move around. They don't let me though because they don't want me crawling around the dirty floors. Watch out when I do start walking, I'll be everywhere. There will be no stopping me. Even though I don't walk, I am very mobile. I crawl everywhere and fast. Mommy and Daddy can't always keep up with me.

I'll let you know when I take my first few steps.

In case you're wondering how big I am now, we think I'm about 23 pounds now. I'm still one solid cute baby!
