It's been a long time

It's been a while since I updated this blog. Hmmm... so much to update you on. I guess I'll just start with the latest.

I had my 15 month appointment recently. My stats:
Weight: 26 lbs 12 ounces (75% percentile)
Height: 32 inches (75% percentile)
Head Circumference: 19 1/2 inches (95% percentile, oh yeah!)

Health: Knock on wood, but I've been pretty healthy lately. I have a little congestion, runny nose, and cough right now but that's so minor compared to the sicknesses I've had in the past. I have lots of teeth now, Mommy and Daddy lost count.

My best accomplishment this week, I'm off the bottles! Mommy and Daddy went cold turkey on me and hid all of the bottles. So far, I'm doing pretty good with the sippy cups.

Daycare is going good. I'm in the Toddler A room now with other kids 12 months to 18 months. When I first moved to the room, I just wasn't sure about it. I would not let Mommy or Daddy leave. Now, I have lots of fun there. I'm not the smallest kid anymore. Mommy and Daddy drop me off during breakfast and I see them go and it doesn't bother me. We do logs of projects there. My teachers are really nice.

Favorite thing to do: Climb and run around outside. I just can't sit still.

Food I like to eat: Veggies and fruit.

Halloween Costume: Yoda! Daddy's a big Star Wars fan and Mommy saw a Yoda costume last year in a catalog. She really wanted to dress me up as Yoda last year, but found the dragon/Yoshi costume and couldn't pass up on that. So, this year, I was Yoda. I wore it to school and at night while I watched Mommy and Daddy pass out candy. I was adorable in it and surprisingly didn't mind wearing the costume.

Right-handed or Left-handed: For awhile, we thought it was going to be left, but it looks like the Right hand is winning now.

Words/Phrases I can say: My favorite "oh oh". I can kinda say "all done", "milk", "what's that", "who's that", "Hi". We're working on "please" and sometimes daddy gets that confused with "cheese" but that's okay.

Phrases I understand: "Let's put your shoes on" - I hear that and I sit down. As soon as one shoe is on, I'm up and running toward the door. We're still working on getting me to stay seated for the second shoe. "Give Mommy a kiss" - I can give Mommy a nice big wet one on the lips or cheeks. I sometimes even give a big open mouthed one. Mommy gets all wet from that.

I know that I must hold mommy's or daddy's hand when we cross a street or a parking lot but they walk too slow for me. I love to run!

We have a play area near the house and I know the way to walk there. Every day after school I try to get daddy or mommy to take me there. The playground has a giant sandbox for me to stomp in, a climbing area, slides, and big hills to run up and down. That's my favorite outside place so far.

Christmas is coming soon and I've been a very good boy this year so I'm hoping for nice presents from Santa. I'm helping with chores around the house to make sure Santa sees me being helpful to mommy. I'm best at sweeping and this week mommy let me help with the dishes. I love to help.
