Happy New Year!

We want to wish all of you a Happy New Year! Thank you for all of your love, support, and patience this year. It's been a rough health year for us, but we're expecting 2007 to be much better.

With the new year, Traci's trying something different on this site. Instead of going to Ian's site and seeing the same thing, I've changed it where this will be the starting page. This way, when we update this blog, you'll always see it first.

As for what's going on lately. Let's start with our trip to Missouri. We were there for a few days to visit the Marlers, Freeds, and Hesemanns. Ian got sick early in our trip but thanks to Tylenol and Benadryl, he was able to take family pictures. What a difference a year makes. This year, he would not sit still for the pictures and he wasn't as generous with the smiles this time as last. However, the pictures still turned out good. We got to meet Ian's cousin, Ellie. She's a very happy smiley baby. We can't wait until she's older and the two can play together. Ian was very jealous when his mom or dad held Ellie. He's going to have to get used to sharing mommy and daddy someday. Ian had a lot of fun playing with everyone. He especially enjoyed going up and down the stairs and playing outside with everybody.

For Christmas, Ian enjoyed his presents. Unfortunately, all three of us got sick so we didn't do much celebrating, but it was still nice being home together. Today, is the day before New Years and sadly, Ian is sick again with a stomach virus. He is getting better though. We're really hoping this will be the last of the sickness for awhile.

We added a few more pictures from the last few weeks. Even though he gets sick frequently, Ian is still a happy baby who loves to play and run around. He talks a lot more, we just can't always understand his words. His favorite word lately is "hot"... everything seems to be "hot" even though it's cold. He'll repeat several of our words now. He likes to stick out his tongue in the shower and swallow the water. He also loves to drag the suitcase everywhere and drink out of an adult cup or water bottle and spill it all over himself. We think Ian is also starting to understand yes and no more now. He doesn't say it, but he shakes his head yes or no when we ask him a question. He's also got the cutest curls in the back of his head. We just can't get enough of this guy. He's so cute!
