The kids this month

Another month is passing by and it's time for another update on the kids.

1) Check out the updated photos on Shutterfly, http://marlerfamily.shutterfly.com/
They've made some nice updates to their shared sites such as allowing me to customize the look and feel and it's all free! Mommy loves free.

2) Ian has enjoyed Niki's PB&J Preschool so much that we've changed things a bit for him. He seems to enjoy the learning environment and a new preschool, Carebear Preschool, http://www.carebearpreschool.com/, opened up across the street from our house. We checked it out and thought it was a good environment for Ian, so we signed him up. We didn't want him to stop going to PB&J and they also didn't have any openings for all day preschool for the 3s, so he's there only in the afternoons. Preschool class is only from 11:45 - 2:45, so Ian goes to their afterschool where he gets to have even more fun and make new friends. We've also signed him up for the extra classes at Kindercare, so Ian's pretty well rounded. To be honest, it allows Mommy to feel like she can let Ian play and watch tv when he's at home because he's getting all the learning at his age at school. So here's Ian's new schedule:

Mondays - AM at Kindercare with Tumbling class, PM at Carebear with the Dancing and Tumbling in the Afterschool
Tuesdays - AM at PB& J, PM at Carebear
Wednesdays - AM at Kindercare with Phonics class, PM at Carebear and Cooking class afterschool
Thursdays - AM at Kindercare with Music and/or Computer class, PM at Carebear with Drama or Water day afterschool
Fridays - AM at Kindercare (donut day), PM at Carebear and fun fridays at afterschool
Saturdays - Rollie Pollies

Yes, it's a lot of activities, but Ian's loving it. He's been really happy but tired when we pick him up.

3) Hannah is cruising around the house. She still occasionally falls, but no more bruises on her head. Her favorite thing to do this week is walking circles around the kitchen island. She thinks it's the funnest thing in the world and smiles the whole time. It's like a race track for her.

4) Ian still loves watching Oswald all the time. Hannah still loves grabbing the remote control and changing the station especially when Ian's watching Oswald.

5) The Marlers have been sick the past two weeks. It started with the kids and then it got to Mommy and Daddy with Daddy being the worst. He has double ear infections. Poor daddy.

6) Hannah's making more sounds now and is trying to communicate with us.

7) On August 7, Mommy and Daddy celebrated 4 years together. Woohooo!

8) It's been rough dropping Hannah off at daycare. She cries and clings to us. The teachers tell us she's fine a few minutes after we leave. We're hoping it'll get easier soon.

9) I'd like to officially declare Ian as potty trained. Woohoo! We still give him a pull-up at night so he doesn't have any accidents, but no more diapers during the day. He's king of the porcelin now.

10) Tomorrow, the 29th is Daddy's birthday. Happy 25th birthday Daddy!
I think it's going to start cooling down at night here to hopefully below 95 degrees. So, next month you'll probably see pictures of the kids riding their wagon and playing at the playground again.
